4th Sunday of Every Month
Taking place between 10am & 2pm the Farmers' Market accommodates approximately 70 stalls and runs along the Lower High Street– a superb opportunity to purchase the local produce.
Why not stop in at Harpenden House Hotel for a cup of tea and slice of cake in our Welcombe Lounge or Sunday lunch in the WinePress Restaurant served between 12.00-2.00pm every Sunday, plus KIDS EAT FREE.

Harpenden Armed Forces Day

Saturday 29th June 2013
Starting at 12noon on the Common Triangle. Attractions include Veterans Parade, Cadet competitions and display, Drill display, Climbing Wall and Bouncy Castle Obstacle Course, plus much more.

To show our support to the armed forces at Harpenden House Hotel we will be donating £1.00 from every sandwich sold at the hotel between 12.00-6.00pm to Harpenden Armed Forces, so come and help us support this very important local charity.

Harpenden Highland Gathering

Sunday 14th July 2013
Another annual event arranged by Harpendens Lion Club which is rumoured to be the best Highland Event outside of Scotland – come along and be entertained by the piping, Highland dancing and games competition. Along with a fun fair, crafters village, food, charity and trading stalls this is a fun packed day for all the family.

Classics on the Common

Already Britain's biggest mid-week classic car meeting, now ranks among the top events of the classics calendar.
With more than 1000 classic cars and other four-wheelers, plus some 250 motor cycles and scooters the common really comes alive. There you'll find a Chevy Bel Air rubbing shoulders with a 1927 Trojan, and a rare 1978 Mantra Bagheera with a '59 Berliet.

Afternoon Tea Month in aid of Breast Cancer Care

Throughout the month of August, we shall be supporting Breast Cancer Care. For every afternoon tea purchased at Harpenden House Hotel throughout the whole of August we will be donating £1.00 to Breast Cancer Care.

Teddy Bears Picnic

Something for the little people! This free event is held in Lydekker Park between 11am until 2pm
The event is sponsored by Mum's Guide to Harpenden and attractions include a free session by Drama Llamas at 12:30, a show by Smartie Artie the children's entertainer, face painting, a bouncy castle and games.

Christmas Break

Let us look after you this Christmas with our 3 day Christmas break. Arrive of Christmas eve for dinner at your leisure. Wake up to a full English breakfast on Christmas day followed by Christmas day lunch. On boxing day enjoy a lazy breakfast followed boxing day lunch. Before you depart on the 27th you can enjoy a hearty breakfast before your journey home.

New years eve Gala Dinner

Start 2013 in style by celebrating the new year in our elegant winepress restaurant. Begin the evening with a champagne reception from 7.30pm followed by a 3 course meal at 8.00pm.
